Team works on a model of Mobile office for paralegal aid:
Vesna Shapkoski is the executive director of the Association for Legal Education and transparency LET STATION from Prilep, North Macedonia. She is a PhD candidate at the University St. Kliment Ohridski – Bitola, at the International law and politics program. Her work experience includes 5 years in civic sector, on human rights with focus on health and social rights and legal empowerment of marginalized communities. Some of her most recent successes in introducing new approaches in grassroot community work include the service Call emergency paralegal aid for which she received the Legal empowerment leadership course award 2019 by NAMATI and the Global Legal Empowerment Network and the establishing of Community health promoters in Prilep, North Macedonia, that she presented at World Congress on Public Health 2020 and published in European Journal of Public Health by Oxford Academic. Ile Grashkoski was born in 1988 in Prilep, North Macedonia. He owns a BA in tourism and hospitality from the University St Kliment Ohridski – Bitola. During the studies, he has been working as a manager in a local restaurant. After graduation, he continues the family business – tobacco production. Working in agriculture gave him a lot of positive characteristics like patience and self-motivation. From July 2020 he is part of the L.E.T. STATION as a paralegal in the municipality of Krivogashtani – a rural municipality with around 6 thousand residents in 13 villages. It is also the municipality where his agricultural activity is located, so he is in constant communication with the local residents. His engagement is consisted of giving advice and referral as to where and how people can address their legal needs, as well as filling documentation and sometimes even accompanying people to the institutions. Hristina Zdraveska is a law graduate by profession. She has gained her degree at the South East European University where she gained knowledge and skills that she later used in the development of her career. She has afterward upgraded in the legal field through work in the Law Office, and a turning point in her life is the commitment as a civil activist in the NGO sector. She is currently working as a jurist in the Association for Legal Education and Transparency LET STATION located in Prilep, North Macedonia. Her everyday job consists of legal assistance for legal empowerments in the area of health and social rights with a focus on Roma as a marginalized community and rural residents. She is the organization’s representative in the Network for Prevention and Protection against Discrimination and is actively working in that field. She has been engaged in numerous successfully completed and current European project activities in the field of legal empowerment, anti-discrimination, and anti-corruption.
Spase Chakrevski was born in 1973. He has completed secondary education as an economic technician in 1991. From 1996 to 2004, he was a member of the council of the municipality of Vitolishte for two terms and actively participated in two mandate boards, to preserve the infrastructure, maintain the tradition and affirmation of the monastery tourism. From 2007 to 2013 he was the president of the local community of Vitolishte. During that period, he formed a board for saving Mariovo region, and participated in the project for establishing “The school for one child”. He is professionally engaged in breeding dairy cows and the production of traditional cheese (whipped cheese) from 2001 until today. From July 2020 he is engaged in Association for legal education and transparency LET STATION as a paralegal in the Mariovo region, an area of many sparsely populated and isolated villages. His engagement includes the first instance advise, referrals, filling documentation, and personal mediation in the realization of the rights of people from this community.
